But defenses doesn't win PVP, it just frustrates your opposition enough to high wake out. I will say, in PVP it's almost unkillable, simply because it's so fast, and so slim, if you have Biweaves you can evade 99% of any fixed gun fire. My full combat loadout G5 engineered Mamba hits just a wink under 600m/s, and cruises at around 440. Jump range is comparable, fuel usage is higher, visibility is on par or better and DPS in combat is probably close to or better but keeping on target is harder. Compared to the FDL the Mamba is slower, heavier, less manueverable, has worse overall weapon placement, horrible convergence, much better huge hardpoint position and about similar shields. I dare not take tihs into too much combat yet. ![]() Supercruise manueverability is better than the FDL. It bleeds off speed quite slowly making a flip more of a flip with some leftover Y axis motion so you can't stay on the same plane as when you started the flip. But it also cannot flip over like the FDL and bleed off speed like the FDL. It also does not slide as much out of turns as the FDL and pretty much goes where you point it. Right now it handles just a touch better than my Python. With engineering I suspect I will be in the 550's to 600 range with better manueverability. With no engineering I get 410 to 430 in boost. I think thruster engineering will help a lot. ![]() Just bought one, A rated it, engineered what I could.
